This works! I put my wife on this for energy and weight loss. She has noticed a significant increase in energy and has lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks without any exercise, which is impressive for her as she doesn't lose weight easily. My daughter, who is 18, was very fatigued with a racing heart several times daily. Since using this product, she has regained much more energy and her episodes of lowered heart rate have greatly reduced. P.S. Don't take it late at night as it may keep you awake.

Liraglutide promotes weight loss
Liraglutide treatment and acylcarnitine profiles in Egyptian obese insulin-resistant females.
We aimed to examine the weight loss effects of liraglutide in obese, insulin-resistant women. By measuring various metabolic markers before and after a 3-month treatment, we found that liraglutide significantly aided weight loss and improved insulin sensitivity. Notably, levels of certain acylcarnitines rose while others dropped, indicating a shift in metabolic health. However, even after treatment, some markers remained elevated compared to healthier control subjects. This shows liraglutide can help with weight management, but more research is needed for complete metabolic balance.

Weight-loss diet's impact on metabolites
Changes in Gut Microbiota-Related Metabolites and Long-term Successful Weight Loss in Response to Weight-Loss Diets: The POUNDS Lost Trial.
We explored how a weight-loss diet impacts gut metabolites like l-carnitine and its effect on weight loss. In a study involving 510 overweight individuals on different diets, we found that lower levels of l-carnitine and choline were linked to better weight loss results after six months. Notably, those who experienced reductions in these metabolites achieved greater improvements in both body weight and energy metabolism. This suggests these metabolites may help predict how well someone responds to weight-loss diets. Further research is needed, especially with wider populations.

Metabolite profiles affect weight loss
Metabolite, Biochemical, and Dietary Intake Alterations Associated with Lifestyle Interventions in Obese and Overweight Malaysian Women.
We examined the effects of a lifestyle intervention on weight loss in metabolically healthy and unhealthy obese women. By analyzing serum samples before and after six months, we found significant differences in metabolite profiles like carnitine and tyrosine between the two groups.
While both groups showed changes in metabolite levels, only the metabolically unhealthy group experienced notable weight loss correlated with the reduction in carnitine levels. This suggests that focusing on specific metabolites could be key to enhancing interventions for weight loss.

Weight loss refers to the reduction of total body mass, which can be achieved through a variety of methods, including diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes. When an individual consumes fewer calories than their body expends, weight loss occurs as the body begins to utilize stored fat for energy. This process is often influenced by factors such as metabolic rate, body composition, and overall health. Sustainable weight loss typically entails a balanced approach that incorporates healthy eating patterns and regular physical activity.
It's important to understand that weight loss can vary greatly from person to person. Some might seek to lose weight for health reasons, such as reducing the risk of chronic diseases, while others might do so for aesthetic goals. Regardless of the motivation, experts recommend setting realistic objectives and adopting habits that promote overall wellness, rather than engaging in extreme dieting or intense exercise regimens that can lead to burnout or negative health effects. Consulting with healthcare professionals or registered dietitians can provide personalized guidance tailored to one's individual needs and goals.
L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative that plays a crucial role in the body's metabolism of fats. It is synthesized in the liver and kidneys from the amino acids lysine and methionine. The primary function of L-Carnitine is to transport long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria of cells, where they are burned for energy. This process is vital for the efficient functioning of cellular metabolism, particularly during periods of increased energy demand, such as prolonged exercise.
In recent years, L-Carnitine has gained popularity as a dietary supplement, particularly among athletes and fitness enthusiasts, who often use it to help enhance fat loss and improve exercise performance. While some studies suggest that L-Carnitine supplementation may aid in fat burning and recovery after exercise, the results are mixed, and it may not be effective for everyone. It's important to approach L-Carnitine supplementation with realistic expectations and to consult with a healthcare professional before adding it to your regimen, especially if you have underlying health conditions or concerns.
While L-Carnitine is often marketed as a weight-loss supplement, its effectiveness is still a topic of ongoing debate among researchers and fitness experts. L-Carnitine is a compound that plays a critical role in the metabolism of fatty acids in the body, transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria where they can be burned for energy. Theoretically, this process could lead to fat loss, particularly when combined with a healthy diet and exercise regime. Some studies have shown a slight reduction in body weight and fat mass with L-Carnitine supplementation, but the results are not universally consistent.
It's important to note that relying solely on L-Carnitine for weight loss is not advisable; it should be viewed as a potential supplement to a balanced diet and exercise routine rather than a magic solution. Additionally, individual responses to L-Carnitine can vary significantly, and its benefits may be more pronounced in those who are deficient in this nutrient. Overall, if you're considering incorporating L-Carnitine into your weight-loss strategy, it might be helpful to consult a healthcare professional to discuss its potential benefits and risks.
Based on user reviews, many individuals report noticeable results with this supplement within a relatively short timeframe. For instance, one user mentioned losing 5 lbs in just 2 weeks without any exercise, highlighting the supplement's effectiveness in kickstarting weight loss (Read Review). Another user who implemented dietary changes alongside the supplement reported losing over 5 kg in a month, suggesting that for some, results can be significant and rapid when combined with healthy eating habits (Read Review).
Overall, the feedback indicates that users can start to see changes in weight and energy levels as early as a couple of weeks after starting the supplement. However, results may vary depending on individual metabolism and dietary choices. Many reviewers emphasize the importance of coupling the supplement with a balanced diet for optimal results (Read Review). As always, it’s advisable to consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement regimen.
When considering L-carnitine as a supplement for weight loss, scientific research presents a nuanced picture. A systematic review involving over 2,300 participants highlighted that L-carnitine can produce a modest decrease in body weight and body mass index (BMI); however, the effects on overall fat loss were minimal, with no significant changes observed in waist circumference or body fat percentage [7]. Other studies have shown that L-carnitine might enhance weight loss during specific interventions, such as fasting therapy, where it led to a higher average weight loss compared to a control group [8].
Moreover, while some research indicated positive correlations between L-carnitine supplementation and reductions in certain metabolic markers associated with obesity, the overall impact on weight loss is described as modest and variable across different studies [4], [3]. Notably, L-carnitine appeared to be more effective for certain groups, such as individuals with type 2 diabetes and women with PCOS, who experienced better weight management outcomes [13]. Therefore, while L-carnitine may support weight loss efforts to some extent, it is essential for potential users to approach it with realistic expectations and consider it as part of a broader lifestyle strategy.
Based on user reviews, many individuals have reported significant improvements in energy levels and weight loss after using the supplement. One user shared that their wife experienced a noticeable boost in energy and lost 5 lbs in just 2 weeks without any exercise, which is particularly impressive given her usual struggles with weight loss (Read Review). Additionally, another user mentioned achieving over 5 kg of weight loss in a month while making dietary adjustments, attributing part of this success to the supplement's energizing effects that motivated them to maintain an active routine like practicing yoga (Read Review).
Several other reviewers echoed similar sentiments, highlighting weight loss as a primary benefit, along with increased energy levels. For instance, one testimonial noted a direct link between the supplement and improved heart function, leading to a reduction in instances of racing heart (Read Review). While many users report positive outcomes from using the supplement, it's essential to remember that individual results can vary widely based on factors like diet, lifestyle, and inherent metabolic differences.
Based on user reviews, many individuals have found that combining this supplement with other dietary measures and supplements enhances its effectiveness for weight loss. One reviewer noted substantial weight loss while adopting a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, crediting the supplement for providing the energy needed to maintain an active lifestyle, such as practicing yoga daily (Read Review). Another user emphasized the positive effects when taking the supplement alongside other fitness supplements, stating that the results were much more pronounced when used in conjunction with a comprehensive approach to weight management (Read Review).
Moreover, several users echoed sentiments about the supplement’s energizing qualities, mentioning its ability to boost metabolic activity in tandem with a balanced diet. For instance, one user reported that the supplement not only helped with weight loss but also improved heart health, adding to its overall utility as part of a broader health regimen (Read Review). Collectively, these insights suggest that users highly recommend integrating this supplement with dietary changes and other supplements for optimal weight loss results.
The optimal dose of L-Carnitine for weight loss appears to be around 2000 mg per day for adults, especially for those who are overweight or obese. In a systematic review analyzing 37 clinical trials with nearly 2,300 participants, researchers noted that this dosage resulted in a modest decrease in body weight, body mass index (BMI), and fat mass, though it had no significant effect on waist circumference or body fat percentage [7].
While L-Carnitine supplementation can support weight loss, it’s important to approach it as part of a broader strategy that includes diet and exercise. Additional studies have shown that while L-Carnitine can enhance weight loss slightly, it should not be viewed as a standalone solution [5]. Thus, incorporating L-Carnitine at this dosage into a weight-loss regimen may yield positive changes, but expect modest results without comprehensive lifestyle adjustments.

l-carnitine shows modest weight loss effects
Effects of l-carnitine supplementation on weight loss and body composition: A systematic review and meta-analysis of 37 randomized controlled clinical trials with dose-response analysis.
We analyzed data from 192 patients who completed fasting therapy, with 142 receiving L-carnitine infusions. To ensure fairness in our comparison, we matched patients using a propensity score method.
After matching, we observed that the group receiving L-carnitine lost an average of 4.05 kg, compared to 3.25 kg in the non-carnitine group. While both groups showed weight loss and decreases in BMI, L-carnitine enhanced these effects. However, the non-carnitine group experienced greater reductions in diastolic blood pressure and triglycerides. Overall, L-carnitine appears to help support weight loss during fasting therapy without negatively impacting blood glucose levels.

Obese cats show metabolic changes
Description of the fasted serum metabolomic signature of lean and obese cats at maintenance and of obese cats under energy restriction.
We explored the metabolic differences between lean and obese cats, particularly during weight loss efforts. Throughout a 10-week energy restriction phase, we observed that obese cats lost approximately 672 grams. Remarkably, while specific amino acids and acylcarnitines increased in these cats, we found no clear evidence of increased fat breakdown.
This suggests that while energy restriction led to metabolic changes, it didn't noticeably enhance fat oxidation. The findings highlight a need for further study to understand how cats process energy differently, potentially guiding more effective weight loss strategies for our feline friends.

L-carnitine linked to cholesterol improvement
Changes in gut-microbiota-related metabolites and long-term improvements in lipoprotein subspecies in overweight and obese adults: the POUNDS lost trial.
We investigated how gut bacteria metabolites, particularly L-carnitine, affect weight loss and cholesterol levels in adults with obesity. Over two years, participants followed a weight-loss diet while we measured their blood levels of L-carnitine and another metabolite, TMAO, at the start and after six months.
While we observed positive changes in harmful cholesterol levels, particularly those linked to L-carnitine, the overall implications for weight loss remained modest. Thus, while L-carnitine can associate with cholesterol improvement, it may not serve as a standalone weight-loss solution.
